Welding gloves
Welding gloves – safe hand protection at high temperatures, flying sparks and mechanical loads
Welding gloves are a central part of personal protective equipment during welding work. They reliably protect against heat, flying sparks, welding spatter and mechanical stress.
In the AAV shop you will find tested welding gloves for industry, trade and workshops - robust, practical and standard-compliant.
Immediately available, Shipping time: 1-2 days
Welding gloves – protection you can rely on
Welding gloves are used wherever hands are exposed to high thermal and mechanical loads. They reliably protect against flying sparks, welding beads, contact heat and molten metal splashes and make a significant contribution to occupational safety.
Made of cowhide split or cow grain leather, welding gloves are particularly resistant and durable. At the same time, depending on the design, they offer sufficient mobility and grip for controlled work in different welding processes.
Finishes & Equipment
Welding gloves are designed to meet different requirements and, depending on the model, have:
- Extra-long cuffs – additional protection for the forearm and wrist
- Reinforced seams and contact surfaces – increased durability under heavy use
- Wing thumb – a special construction that improves mobility in the wrist for greater comfort and flexibility; as well as padded ankle areas - better mobility and comfort
- Unlined models – for more dexterity and precise work
- Lined or insulated variants – for increased protection against intense heat exposure
Type A & Type B – the right choice for every welding process
According to EN 12477, welding gloves are divided into two types:
- Type A – increased protection in intensive processes with high spark development such as MAG or electrode welding
- Type B – higher dexterity, ideal for precise welding work such as TIG welding
The selection of the appropriate type should always be adapted to the respective welding process.
Tested Standards & Safety
All welding gloves in the AAV shop meet relevant European standards:
- EN ISO 21420 – General requirements for protective gloves
- EN 388 – Protection against mechanical risks
- EN 407 – Protection against thermal risks
- EN 12477 – Special requirements for welding gloves
This makes the gloves suitable for professional use as well as for demanding workshop or assembly work.
Typical areas of application
Welding gloves are not only used in metal construction and welding technology, but also in industry, for repairs and maintenance, as well as in workshops and training environments.
- Metal construction & welding technology – protection during manual welding work
- Industry & production – safe processes for heat-intensive activities
- Crafts & assembly – protection during repair and maintenance work
- Workshop & Training – Reliable Hand Protection for Daily Practice
